Update on Italian Embassy’s Strategic Plan to Promote the Italian Language
On February 19th, the Italian Embassy hosted a meeting of the Greater Washington, D.C. Observatory of the Italian Language. The purpose of this meeting was to provide updates about the steps taken to promote the Italian language in the D.C.

On Monday, February 25, AMHS President Emeritus Lucio D’Andrea was awarded the Ordine della Stella D’Italia (the Order of the Star of Italy) at a ceremony held at the Embassy of Italy in Washington, D.C.

The picturesque, oddly named small town of Capracotta is located about 45 kilometers northwest of Campobasso and about 25 kilometers north of Isernia.

One of Abruzzo’s beautiful small towns, Fara San Martino, is located 46 kilometers from Chieti. The town has approximately 1,623 inhabitants, known as Faresi.
