AMHS Members and Friends Enjoy the Fruit of the Vine

Sommelier Zach Casagrande leads to the November wine tasting.

On November 16, 2025, the Abruzzo Molise Heritage Society held its Annual Wine Tasting event at Casa Italiana.  Our guest sommelier was Zach Casagrande, son-in-law of AMHS members Frank and Sharon Bonsiero.  Zach hosted our 2024 event, which was a great success.

This year, 47 members and guests attended and were treated to a lively and engaging walk (and sip) through five beautiful wines from various regions of Italy.  Zach offered samples of a bonus sixth wine, one he made himself from Italian grape vines he has started harvesting in Virginia.  It was such a treat and so delicious!  The food was provided by Manoli Canoli once again, which paired nicely with the wine varietals. 

We have invited Zach back for next year’s tasting. Mark your calendars for the second Sunday in November 2026; this is an event you don’t want to miss!
