CARLA GAMBESCIA PRESENTATION RESCHEDULED

By Nancy DeSanti, 1st Vice President-Programs When Casa Italiana shut down in March 2020 due to the pandemic, we were already scheduled to have a talk later that month by author and Italian cultural expert Carla Gambescia. So now we are instead planning a luncheon meeting with Carla as our speaker in March 2022 — two years later. She will tell us about her new book which is scheduled to be published in September, and we may well hear about her fabulous trip to Italy.

This August she finished leading a hiking and biking trip through Northern Italy (she has hiked and biked in all 20 regions of Italy). A trip to Southern Italy is planned for this September. Carla, whose father’s family is from Sulmona in Abruzzo, is enthusiastic about sharing her love of art, culture and basically all things Italian.
