LONGTIME AMHS MEMBERS CELEBRATE GOLDEN ANNIVERSARY

On July 5, 2026, longtime AMHS members Joe and Joann Novello celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary (the actual day is July 4). After Mass at Holy Rosary Church, they shared an anniversary cake with their family and friends in Casa Italiana. They were married in New Jersey and that’s their wedding photo on the table in the photo below. They moved to the Washington area where Joe spent his career at NASA and worked on the Hubble Space Telescope. (By Nancy DeSanti)

ANOTHER SUCCESSFUL FERRAGOSTO PICNIC

The Annual Ferragosto picnic was held on Sunday, August 16, 2026. The weather was beautiful as approximately 30 members from the AMHS and the Tuscany Club attended.  Our guest of honor was former AMHS President Maria d'Andrea-Yothers, who came up from North Carolina to join us!  There were many delicious dishes and desserts shared among the group.  Below are three images capturing the spirt of the day.
