AMHS   SCHOLARSHIP   PROGRAM

The Abruzzo Molise Heritage Society (AMHS) through its affiliate, Grant and Scholarship Fund, Inc. is pleased to announce the availability of two $4,000.00 scholarships for the 2012-2013 academic year. The scholarships will be awarded to individual students as payment of tuition on behalf of the recipients.

The AMHS was formed in 2000 to promote the cultural heritage of Italy and the Regions of Abruzzo and Molise in particular, in all disciplines relating to its language, history and culture. The Society has over 300 members and is one of the most active Italian American organizations in the Washington, DC area. The purpose of the scholarship awards is to recognize individuals who are interested in Italian Culture by providing financial assistance to pursue their academic studies. Further information on the Society and its activities can be found on this website.

5. Complete an application by going to AMHS/NIAF Scholarship Application

6. Applications for the academic year 2012-2013 will be accepted starting November 1, 2011 and ending March 2, 2012

A selection of candidates that meet the above qualifications is presented to AMHS by NIAF every year, around springtime. From this selection the AMHS Scholarship Committee makes the final choice of the two scholarship winners.

The successful applicants will be notified of their selection. It is expected that the recipients of the AMHS Scholarship will be the guests of the Society at our annual Christmas Gala.

The Society thanks all applicants for their interest in the Society and wishes them success in their studies.
